You know those video bloggers where they eat at a place like Jiro's Sushi and have this super exaggerated expression of how good it is?! Well, Yasu gave us that type of feeling and now we understand. Overall, more than happy to come back to experience and taste this again! Makes us even more excited to visit Japan in the future. Definitely a splurge spot, but wow, never had sushi / sashimi like this before. Will be comparing future 'omakase' to here, and the bar is pretty darn high. This experience was definitely worthwhile for us. If you're aiming for that, you can forget coming here and you probably don't "really" enjoy sushi anyway. Value: Seriously, you're going for omakase - there really isn't "cheap" omakase. Ended off with the tastiest black sesame ice cream and tamago. Fish came from all over the globe, from Alaska, east coast Canada, Boston, Mexico, Scotland and of course, Japan. The main omakase pieces were all phenomenal, especially the monkfish liver. My fiancee has never been a fan of sea urchin and even she enjoyed it! Super clean, fresh, sweet - not a hint of the fishy ocean taste that puts people off from it.
